The Great American Roadtrip | Credits
Coast to Coast
Credits
This trip would not have been possible without several people along the way.
Marzan Family
Bartlett | Illinois
Thanks to my uncle Mulong & aunt Tessie in Bartlett who were kind enough to
give me a place to sleep in their home and to make me a dinner and breakfast midway
between my drive from New Jersey to Denver. Pictured to the right are my nieces
Angelina & Amelia and nephew Alex.
Ryan Root
Denver | Colorado
Ryan is the epitome of a Colorado native, and probably one of the last true natives left in Denver...
at least that I know. Ryan's the type of guy who would start a hike at 2AM, hike up 4000 feet
and across 10 miles by moonlight to see the sunrise at the top of a mountain. Ryan taught me the
"Pack In, Pack Out" method.
Thanks to Ryan for letting me crash his couch for a free place to stay in Denver for almost
a week... even with last minute notice. Ryan also coordinated most of the trip into the Holy Cross Wilderness.
Patrick Flannigan
Denver | Colorado
Patrick came along the camping trip to the Holy Cross Wilderness, Independence Pass, and the Maroon Bells.
Paul Heffner
Denver | Colorado
A friend through Ryan, Paul came up with the idea of hiking up Mount Yale. Despite ominous thunder
clouds circling the summit, Paul (maybe foolishly) was patient with my sea-level-lungs and
mentally pushed me to get to the top.
Steve Liang
San Diego | California
Steve was one of my old college roomates, and friend from San Diego. Thanks to Steve
for letting me crash his couch for a free place to stay in San Diego,
and giving me the mental push I needed to reach California. Also thanks to Steve for
coming up with the last minute idea to buy some Mexican car insurance and to check out
Baja for the weekend.
Matt Scharfstein
San Diego | California
Matt is Steve's roomate and was part of our crew that ventured into Baja Mexico.
Alex Poppi
Lisle | Illinois
In an attempt to drive the 1700+ miles from Denver to New Jersey in one shot, I called Alex out of the blue on the day that I would arrive in Illinois. With last minute notice Alex gave me a place to crash while he was out at work. Thanks for the free lunch too, Alex.
